As a wedding photographer at the Castle of Vincigliata, I am often privileged to witness moments filled with raw emotion and timeless beauty. Christina and Carson’s wedding was no exception.
The day began in the charming courtyard of an old farmhouse nestled among the rolling Tuscan hills. A small group of guests gathered, waiting to head toward the magnificent Castle of Vincigliata, where the ceremony would soon take place.
Capturing Christina’s quiet moment
I entered Christina’s room and found her standing motionless, gazing out the window. Only her silhouette was visible—the elegant curve of her shoulders, her arms resting at her sides, and her fingers slowly moving in nervous anticipation.
“Hi Christina!” I said gently.
She turned around, tall, radiant, her eyes sparkling with emotion. She hugged me warmly, as a friend would.
“Hi Matteo, thanks for being here,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude.
Her sister stood quietly nearby, giving her space. Sensing the need for privacy, I respectfully left the room to visit Carson.
A story of connection and celebration
When I returned about twenty minutes later, Christina was ready. Calm, joyful, and glowing. I knew it would be another beautiful day to capture.
The atmosphere at the Castle of Vincigliata was nothing short of magical. The ancient walls, the breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside, and the intimate ceremony created the perfect setting for storytelling through photography.
Special thanks to Francesca and the team at Wedding Italy for their unwavering support and kindness, which made everything even more seamless.
Photographing weddings like Christina and Carson’s at places as enchanting as the Castle of Vincigliata reminds me why I am passionate about being a destination wedding photographer in Tuscany.
