As a wedding photographer in Tuscany, I often find myself immersed in some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Italy. This time, I set off for a two-day adventure filled with love and celebration—two weddings in two unforgettable days.
A wedding weekend in the heart of Tuscany: August 1st – Sami and Francesca
Driving through the gentle curves between the endless Tuscan hills, I slowed down and opened the window. The air was fresh, the warm wind carried the scent of summer, and Scott Matthews played softly on the radio. It felt perfect, a prelude to an extraordinary day of wedding photography.
I arrived at the stunning Villa Cini, an elegant 18th-century villa nestled among vineyards and olive groves. From the balcony on the first floor, Francesca could see everything—the guests arriving, Sami chatting calmly with the reassuring celebrant, and the always-smiling singer preparing for the ceremony. Claudia, the attentive owner of the villa, oversaw every detail to perfection, creating an atmosphere of timeless Tuscan charm.
A beautiful ceremony under the Tuscan sun
The late afternoon sun bathed everything in a golden glow. Guests sat comfortably in the shade of an ancient tree, while beyond the walls stretched hills painted with the colors of ripening vines. A few bees drifted lazily through the peaceful Tuscan air, enhancing the idyllic setting.
Sami was a little nervous, but surrounded by smiles and reassurances, he waited patiently. This was his first marriage—but certainly not my first time capturing special moments like these with my camera.
Capturing emotions, telling their story
Upstairs, Francesca’s room buzzed with excitement. Surrounded by family and friends, she remained calm and focused. Very young, radiant, and beautiful, she shared an emotional embrace with her father, who gazed thoughtfully out the window, lost in the meaning of the moment.
With the bouquet in her hands, I gently guided Francesca toward Sami. When their eyes met, she smiled and waved, and Sami, rooted to the spot, smiled back. It was a pure, unforgettable moment—one of many that I captured naturally, blending into the scene to preserve genuine emotions.
Documenting love stories like this one is why I am passionate about being a destination wedding photographer in Tuscany. Every couple brings a new story, a new emotion to frame forever.
