One of my favorite photography sessions of 2020 began with a message from Justin.
He wrote to tell me that his wife, Marilyn, was expecting a beautiful baby girl, and they dreamed of celebrating this special moment with a babymoon photoshoot in Varenna, along the shores of Lake Como.
As we chatted, I discovered a small coincidence: I also have a daughter named Camilla, and they had chosen the name Camila—with one “L”—for their baby.

We met on a late January afternoon near Villa Monastero.
The sun was warm, the light romantic, and the narrow streets of Varenna, far from the summer crowds, offered a perfect, peaceful setting for this special photoshoot.
The ducks of old Varenna moved lazily along the lake, while Marilyn, Justin, and little Camila—already so present in their hearts—shared quiet smiles and tender moments.
