Imagine growing up in a land as vast and magnificent as Argentina—Patagonia, El Calafate, Ushuaia, the End of the World.
Then imagine choosing to get married somewhere equally magical and romantic, far from home but close to the heart.
Maria Belen and Gonzalo chose Italy, and more precisely Lake Como, for their intimate wedding surrounded by mountains, peaceful waters, and timeless elegance.
The setting was the beautiful Villa Aura del Lago in Limonta, a place where silence is broken only by the gentle hum of a passing Riva boat and the soft rustle of the trees around the pool.
Capturing emotions at Villa Aura del Lago
The days leading up to the wedding were filled with laughter and anticipation.
Gonzalo, in a light blue suit, prepared quietly with a glass of scotch that hadn’t seen the light in twenty years. Maria Belen, holding a glass of rosé bubbles between two fingers, smiled and joked with her friends, glancing at her phone only occasionally.
As a wedding photographer on Lake Como, moments like these are pure gold—authentic, emotional, fleeting.
Gonzalo adjusted his cufflinks, looking out the window. Maria Belen, radiant and vibrant, moved quickly toward the ceremony by the lake, where a huge pine tree offered cool shade.
A ceremony framed by the lake
The chairs were neatly lined up, the guests attentive, and under a delicate flower arch, Maria Belen and Gonzalo exchanged vows with the endless blue of Lake Como behind them.
They had imagined this day long ago, and I had the privilege of turning that dream into photographs they will cherish forever.
Villa Aura del Lago provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable Argentine wedding on Lake Como, blending intimacy, elegance, and a touch of magic.
