Wedding in Cinque Terre – Monterosso Al Mare
My Skype rings, it’s a call from Japan, today I’ll meet Miho and Daniel, an Anglo-Japanese couple.
They will marry in the Cinque Terre, in a hermitage, above Monterosso al Mare.
They tell me about them, how they imagine the day and how Melina, their trusted wedding planner, is helping them in every detail, big and small.
Olive leaves and lemons on the round tables, the ceremony on a natural terrace with breathtaking views.
Guests among the olive trees.
They imagine a warm August evening, the slow sunset.
There will be a first dance by the pool, they send me the choreography preview.
All these details make me understand a lot about them, to photograph them in the right way and not betray their personalities.
This is my job, listening and observing, to tell a story that they will want to be relived over the years.
I greet them, hoping to enjoy these good months of preparation because the wedding day will fly like “il dì di festa” after Saturday in the village by Giacomo Leopardi .
